A guideline book on how to build a social robot, with different proposals, concepts and data colleted from the poll, was ordered by institute's customer. My chapter was on the robot’s vision system, which consists of the description of the hardware (camera, FPGA platforms), available software, machine learning algorithms, navigation algorithms and methods of interaction with humans. It also describes the possible solutions and design guidelines.
